Dubrovnik is approximately 1 hour 15 minute drive from Kotor and is served by British Airways, Aerlingus, Flybe, Croatia Airlines, Thomson's, Easyjet, Flyglobespan, Jet2 and Flybe. On leaving the airport just turn left and head straight for the border which takes about a 15 minute drive. Continue through Herceg Novi and once at the Fjord, you have the choice of driving around taking in the breathless scenery or taking the car ferry at Bijela across to Lepetane (just follow the signs). This is slightly quicker due to the new tunnel link between Tivat and Kotor.
Tivat Airport, Montenegro:
Tivat airport is approximately 10 minute drive from Kotor Old Town and is served by Montenegro Airlines which flies direct into Tivat from London Gatwick every Wednesday and Sunday between May and October. Tickets can be booked directly through the Montenegro airlines website or through Opodo. Thomson's are also launching a new service direct into Tivat from Gatwick every Wednesday, also between May and October. It's also possible to fly with JAT airlines via Belgrade and Paris. Again there are plenty of car hire companies to choose from including Avis, Europcar and www.inmontenegro.com.
